Earth Yellow

The time I wore a casual outfit featuring a mustard yellow striped top and carried two kinds of casual bags.

Hello there peeps. How's it going? It's been a while since my last outfit post - I know you must be missing my wardrobe updates. So calm down, here is another one.

But some trees first. To give those eyeballs a refresher. You're most welcome!

It's a casual combination comprising of a thrifted mustard yellow striped top, blue jeans and a pair of sandals.

It's pretty much my go-to for a basic errand-running get-up that's super simple and comfy. I got the top for a steal and I really was super proud of the acquisition of such an affordable and simple sleeveless top. It was the yellow! I just lean into this earthy yellow shade is as it reminds me of my favorite turmeric that I love to consume in dishes and spread on my face.

Another tree picture to show you that at this time when the photo was taken the fiery blooms had all fallen and the flame of the forest tree is in a transitory mode. Still mighty gorgeous, don't you think?

For the casual OOTD, I paired it one time with a tote from Indonesia, Jogjakarta precisely, a gift from my darling sis when she went there temple-hopping. I love the batik block print at the center of the melange grey light shoulder bag. It's got no lining so this one's perfect for carrying groceries too. And since it's not lined, I have to be extra careful when carrying it with a smart phone inside. I had once smashed my hair clip in another light tote bag as I entered the car too enthusiastically.

In these two other pictures, you will notice that I'm carrying a round rattan bag in neutral tan which is another gift from my sweetest sister! She really knows how to pick the nicest ones for me and I'm very grateful. I'll be carrying it more after I rest my tote obsession. It's been many months and many totes involved. Hot and humid tropical summer is right about here and that means lighter bags soon.

Below is a picture the lovely doggie guarding her pups from strange human beings. And this green fruit that ants were busying themselves with. Don't have a clue what tree it is though but it's beautiful.

So, what do you think of this outfit?

Which type of casual bag would you be most likely to carry? Share your thoughts - I love reading them! Thank you so much!

To end this post, here's a quote by Georges Bernanos:

"Little things seem nothing. But they give peace. Like those meadow flowers which individually seems odorless but all together perfume the air."
