Unchain Your Melody

The time I wore a blue and red grid print high-low shirt with some black jogger pants casually.

Hello friends. How's it going? It's been raining here. No epic thunder just consistent pour. I got drenched under the tropical rain even with umbrella just now. The umbrella was frail and tiny but still it protected the center of my head while the rest of me got soaked as I unlocked the gate. Wow, this is some high quality content right here. Sorry folks. I ramble. I like it though.

My cat aiden had a mishap and broken his femur. It was a relief that he could actually walk with one wobbly leg so I could rescue him. He just had his surgery today where a metal pin was inserted. I didn't know my cat was really that fat until I heard the vet himself referring to him as 'that fat white cat' as I was attempting to gain info about the state of my Aiden on the phone. #LOL

Luckily, cats don't give an arse over human word usage as they speak meow. I was so happy to see Aiden and got him back home to rest just now. That precious fatty kitty of mine is in recovery mode and I'll be keeping watch. BTW, talking about pets with random people at the vet who have their own pets is liberating.

You're suddenly proud of your mad love for your animals and are accepted to talk about them like they're your babies from another species. One woman was teary-eyed when she mentioned that her long-haired feline fur-ball had been missing for three days. She said the kitty was a quite a beauty and was worried that it might have been catnapped. To comfort her, I said, the kitty might just return home.

An elderly man was beyond excited to pick up his 'Sugar' after she had undergone a tumor-removal surgery. He said, the kitty of his is trained to use the bathroom like a human being and joins the human family members in bed to rest and is a happy fat indoor cat.

So, what have I relearned in the span of time I was away from this space besides feline things, you may not at all wonder but I have to ask myself?

Let's see...

1. Throw kindness around like confetti - Janine mentioned it on her Insta. I am so in love with this statement as I am practicing this, when I'm not hangry.

2. Be there for yourself when you're feeling rubbish, especially in the few days, before the monthly blood bath.

3. Be there for your cat when he's ill, observe his feline resilience and take note.

4. Plant good thoughts in your dang brain pots and water them.

5. Smell the roses. Smell the sewage. Smell the exhilaration. Smell the mundane.

6. Employ compassionate listening. Put the philosopher in me on a sabbatical. Then refer to point 1.

7. Get social. Get solitary. Both tweaked to individual preferences.

8. Love. Simply. Freely.

9. Bonus: Soften toe nails like a pro, as taught by my sister. I was walking around with a weapon all this while like a criminal and clueless that the edge of my toe nails could kill.

10. Extra bonus: Drink dark cocoa often. Why? Because it's awesome for my body!

So, there you go. And here are some outfit pics for your eyeballs. #OOTD

Well, what have you lot been up to? Did you like the outfit I wore? What's in your mind? I saw a rainbow over the mountain here on Sunday with mom while in the car and the sight of it made us beam.

Here's a quote to seal this entry:

"Wholehearted living is about engaging in our lives from a place of worthiness. It means cultivating the courage, compassion, and connection to wake up in the morning and think; No matter what gets done and how much is left undone, I am enough. It’s going to bed at night thinking, Yes, I am imperfect and vulnerable and sometimes afraid, but that doesn't change the truth that I am also brave and worthy of love and belonging." -- Brene Brown, Daring Greatly
