Bridge Witch

The time I layered a black knit top over a black dress.

I’ve utilized this concrete bridge as a backdrop before and there I was still hogging the space.

While the pictures may look bright to you (because Photoshop, hey!), on the day itself, it was rather gloomy and I wore a solemn outfit to complement the monsoon vibes. You know sometimes, it’s nice to go with nature’s rhythm and that was what I did. I had on a boat neck knit top which was actually mom’s (I didn’t steal it, she gave it to me!) over a dress with waist lace detailing and center buttons in white. The dress is lightweight, so the layering kept me warm and nice.

The straps that show up in the back are from the dress (it’s a cami style one) and I quite liked the strap peek-a-boo. The black oxford shoes, also feature lace peek-a-boo on the sides. It’s an outfit filled with peek-a-boos now I realize after breaking it all down.

I don’t mean to hog the space on the bridge, but it’s just too tempting to pass. Regular garden strollers have likely marked me as the mad lady who hogs the bridge I imagine because nobody ever goes there for shoots, or that when I am there, I am the only one involved in this activity. I feel it’s a beautiful place for all kinds of shoots but I’m also quite content to have the place to myself.

Now that we’ve established I am that kind of a hogger, I report that there was no stray animal encounter whilst I twirled around. There were swallows dotting the moisture-packed grey sky but no eagles in sight. There was a human form talking rabidly on his phone within my proximity so I moved away to a different spot and again, he appeared. But not for long, as he disappeared along with his phone after I cast a spell and my monkey self came out to play.

Well, how’s it going there? What do you think of my all-black getup? Share your thoughts, I love reading them and will respond!

I end this post with Eckhart Tolle's quote:

As soon as you honor the present moment, all unhappiness and struggle dissolve, and life begins to flow with joy and ease. When you act out the present-moment awareness, whatever you do becomes imbued with a sense of quality, care, and love - even the most simple action.
