Stairway To Nowhere

The time I roamed around an old stairway in an outfit of black with a pop of floral batik print.

I have more than three good pictures out of a bazillion today so I'm sharing them! Plus, I played around with photoshop for some effects but I don't know if it is that great through your screen. Apologies for assaulting your eyeballs if somehow the pictures are cray-cray.

Well, you know I'm not going to just show pictures and seal the post. I wrote something one time thinking I was going to make a post that particular day. But instead, it went into the queue. You know how queues are typically slow and so here I am at last sharing with you something I wrote a few days earlier.

It starts here:

Mother nature is giving herself a soul-quenching bath after a week of going cold turkey. Her parched soil is now watered up and the earth worms and frogs are having a party. I was about to leave the house to shake my tail feather and fuel up the vehicle but now I get to sip the chicken vege broth I just cooked at leisure.

Have you ever devoured pieces of soft fried chicken slowly while listening to the rain slamming surfaces outside and you are appreciating every bite with every whisper of the wind, flicker of the lightning and a clap of a thunder? Perhaps you have. I am grateful to have the rain watering the roof as the house was like a sauna and I lost weight by just sweating. I must report that I have started taking cold showers and I am so glad with this turn of events.

Stay tuned for my review of my routine cold shower experience.

I also want to confess that I am blessed to have a sister who recently introduced me to the wonders of the epilator. Stay tuned for my personal review on a first budget epilator experience. My hairy imaginary friends who have healthy hair growth, hate shaving, loathe waxing and have no funds to spend on the laser hair removal procedure will want to keep those eyeballs peeled and glued to this space!

To make this post really legit, here are some photos so you may or may not get inspired.

Girls, women, we are all different and that is mighty okay. Accept who you are. Learn about yourself. People may give you opinions about how you ought to be perhaps innocently, in kind or abrasively, but remember YOU are a unique expression of Life.

Cease trying to be anything you are not. Enjoy the experience of different surface level expressions that Life affords you but know deep down in the crevices of your heart and being, what is original to you shall remain.

OOTD story: Black sleeveless crop top (came with hem fringe details that kept shedding so I trimmed them off) /// dark floral maxi skirt /// rattan shoulder bag (wore this so much, the strap came off, will DIY it somehow!) /// toe loop sandals /// leather cuff bracelet ENVIA fashion - see the details up close here.

Well, what do you think of the pictures? And what did you consume for breakfast, brunch, lunch, tea-time, dinner, supper and the after-midnight snack and pre-breakfast? Relax and tell me your gastronomic journey! I love thinking about food and will delight reading about it too!

With that said, here's a quote to seal this post by Eckhart Tolle:

“When you make friends with the present moment, you feel at home no matter where you are. When you don't feel at home in the Now, no matter where you go, you will carry unease with you. The present moment is as it is. Always. Can you let it be?”
