Flame Of The Forest

Hiya lovely readers of the blog, how's it going in there?

Here's a post about this OOTD I wore one evening as I stood around this gorgeous flowering tree called the Flame of the Forest. I was excited to see red petals on the ground and on the tree from afar that I knew we were going there for a short outfit shoot. This time with a new mobile phone to capture the essence of the scene and also to show how the Huawei Nova 2i performed for outfit photo-taking.

These photos were taken by photographer bawse MOM in the evening when miss sun was shining. Thanks sun. Default settings were used. No edits. There was also a vibrant yellow bird in the tree while we were snapping photos and it made me super happy because it was a sight and a beauty!

Outfit deets: A floral top bursting in tangerine and green, blue jeans, sandals and an earthy embroidered shoulder bag. It has been a while since I carried a bag this big and I appreciate that it allows me to put in many things like a bottle of water, waistbag when I go to exercise and the new phone as it is quite huge but so far my hands have adjusted to the size and weight.

What do you think of the phone photo quality? I love the vibrant colors and how they jump out of the screen.

Even though there is a beauty filter, it can be a over the top. Here's an example.

For a selfie, I prefer using the customization available to retain the way I look because that it's vital to keep it real. Wrinkles, blemishes, pores and my shiny nose keep me real. The only reason I use the beauty filter on max is to have a laugh noticing how it erases every little detail on your face making everyone look like they're the same age. That is creepy!

Here I'm showing you my lip game with the lipstick that I reviewed in an old post using the phone facing some sunshine. It's overexposed because I ain't that pale but just to show you the way way the lips look before, after a small dab for the stained effect and the STRONG lip color game that's more suited for night time if you're into that.

What I love to do with the Huawei Nova 2i is capture nature shots.

I've been using this giant tote bag everywhere and with every outfit as it's so roomy and the print on it is kind of ethnic chic and earthy that it's easy to pair with anything.

Would I still use the phone to capture outfit photos? I feel that I'll reserve it for selfies and nature photos as I find that the point and shoot digital camera is better-equipped for the task.

Well, that's it for today! How do you like the pictures? Share your thoughts - I love reading them!

Here's a quote to end this entry by Eleanor Roosevelt:

Courage is more exhilarating than fear and in the long run it is easier. We do not have to become heroes over night. Just a step at a time, meeting each thing that comes up, seeing it is not as dreadful as it appeared, discovering we have the strength to stare it down.
