Ayurvedic Skincare Review: Reshma Beauty Face Wash, Peel Off Mask, Cream & Rose Water Toner

The time I share with you my personal review of Reshma Beauty skincare products: rose water toner, honey peel-off mask, turmeric cream, honey and lemon face wash.

Hiya popsicles.

It's me, back here with some skin care talk. I am very thrilled to share with you a nature-based skincare line that I've had the opportunity to test out recently. I've used some of them more than others. But I definitely have incorporated them in my go-to skin routine.

At first, I wasn't sure if the products would complement my very picky sensitive skin but I've learned over the years that as long as my skin barrier is healthy and intact, my skin behaves exactly 'normal' and with the years adding to my life, I finally get it: my skin is intelligent.

It's supported by systems that are intelligent and as long as every aspect is working in a delightful balance and harmony, my skin is great!

So, let's talk about the FOUR products I've had the chance to test out & actually love because they made my skin feel fab!

Rose Water Toner

Rose water toner by Reshma Beauty review

I love roses and have always been using a rose water of some sort that I find in my local mart. They are inexpensive and does the job. The ones I get usually are in a bottle so I have to transfer the liquid manually into a spray bottle. When I received this rose water toner, I was so excited to try it out.

Verdict: The spray nozzle does a great job! This has menthol in the list of ingredients. If you are opposed to parabens, then this may not be for you but for my skin, it's alright! Like I said, I love the scents of roses. It's very refreshing on the face and I also spray it on my shoulders and upper back area (I have bacne) for coolness. It's also quite softening!

Ingredients: Rose petal extract, propylene glycol, glycerin, methyl paraben sodium, imid urea, propyl paraben sodium, menthol, purified water.

Honey Peel-Off Mask

Honey peel-off mask Reshma Beauty review

At first, I didn't expect much from this mask but after a few times of using it and still using it, I'm starting to notice how very soothing and hydrating this mask is! The tube could be improved so as the honey mask is retained within it without coming into the lid whenever you hold it with the lid facing downwards. Tip: Keep it upright with the lid facing up so the fluid stays put.

I apply this before shower as it's easier to remove the mask with warm water running over the face. So far, the result is quite a hydrated face! I didn't think I'd enjoy wearing the mask at first but since the cells on my face are practically celebrating how very hydrating they feel and my wrinkles are soothed, I love this baby!

Verdict: Very hydrating mask that's good for skin that is as thirsty as mine. The scent for me is alright as it recedes into the background. And I have very fussy nose! I get headaches easily from certain fragrances and some might trigger migraines so I'm selective when to anything going near my nose.

Ingredients: Purified water, Polyvinyl alcohol resin, glycerin, propylene glycol, honey extract, imid urea, disodium EDTA, fragrance, triethanolamine, colour-quinoline yellow WS (C.I No. 47005), colour-carmoisine (C.I. No. 14720), Polyvinylpyrrolidone K-30

Honey & Lemon Face Wash

Honey & Lemon face wash Reshma Beauty review

I was anticipating for this wash to be stripping but shockingly, it was enjoyable to apply on the skin and did not cause any skin issues. The formulation felt gel-like and soft. It glides over the skin making it easy to massage the face and neck area seamlessly.

Verdict: It is soothing and quite frankly, satisfying to use as my skin feels cleansed without being stripped off of its natural oils. The aroma is very mild.  I quite enjoy refreshing lemon herbal scent.  I love it!

Ingredients: purified water, sodium lauryl ether sulphate (30% liquid), sodium lauryl sulphate (30% liquid), glycerin, propylene glycol, aloe vera leaf extract, honey extract, lemon peel extract, neem leaf extract, dimethicone fluid, polysorbate-20, fragrance, phenoxyethanol, lemon peel oil, imid urea, disodium EDTA, tocopheryl acetate, colour-quinoline yellow WS (C.I. No. 47005).

Turmeric Cream

Turmeric cream by Reshma Beauty review

Gosh, how I love this one! I approached creams with trepidations as I often find most of them very stifling on the skin. The feeling of creams just sitting on the skin is enough to put me off of creams in general. I am however, pleasantly surprised by how this cream completely disappears into my skin. It almost feels like magic to me. I usually use a combination of sesame oil, castor oil and coconut oil to moisturize my body but this cream has utterly taken over the oils.

Verdict: Absolutely recommended. Scent is herbal-ish. My nose doesn't mind. It's hydrating and my skin laps it up so easily I find it very therapeutic and relaxing! This coming from someone whose after shower care is just oils she mixes together herself.

Ingredients: distilled water, light liquid paraffin, stearic acid, emulsifying wax, glyceryl monostearate, cetostearyl alcohol, triethanolamine, turmeric oleo - resin, polysorbate-80, sunset yellow FCF (C.I. No. 15985), phenoxyethanol, sandalwood oil, butylated hydroxy toluene, propyl paraben.
